IKRAmogatec HISTORY

1977 Founding of ikra by Reinhard H. Jachmann. Aim: to produce and to market electric gardening tools.

1978 Joint-venture with AEG for development and production of grass-trimmers.

1982 Start of production of ikra`s first electric chainsaw.

1986 Start of production of ikra`s first electric hedge-trimmer.

1989 Start of production of ikra`s first cordless grass shear and cordless grass-trimmer.

1992 Establishment of the manufacturing company Mogatec in Saxony by Reinhard H. Jachmann (18 employees). In the years following the setting up strong expansion of both companies.

2002 Employment of 385 persons in the group. Total turnover: 62 million Euro on an output of 1.8 million units p.a..
