This year, we took part in the Corporate Table Tennis Cup in Chemnitz for the fourth year in a row. What we regularly practise during our lunch breaks was once again put to the test in some head-to-head competition at the end of August.
In the active players’ category, Nils and Heiko secured an impressive 4th place out of 47 teams. Our recreational players also had plenty to celebrate. Patrick and Christian achieved a personal best, finishing 14th, while Willi and Clemens also improved on their previous result to take 29th place. Richard and Steve made their debut this year, immediately finishing second in their group and ultimately taking 63rd place out of 156 teams.
But for us, the event is about much more than just the results. After four appearances, the Cup has started to feel almost like a small annual reunion. It’s a chance to catch up with familiar faces, meet new people and spend an evening together where competitive spirit and plenty of fun make a great combination.
So yes, we’re happy with our results – but we’re far from finished. The motivation for next year is already there. And with our new table tennis table at the Development Center, we now have even more opportunities to practise. Who knows – perhaps a few more colleagues will be inspired to pick up a paddle themselves in 2027.
A fantastic event that, after four years, has firmly earned its place in our calendar. A big thank you to the organisers for putting on Germany’s largest corporate table tennis cup!
