Twenty years ago, Arne began his career at Mogatec as the company’s first dual-study student. Driven by the ambition to understand processes from the ground up, he continued to develop step by step. Today, he heads the Technology and Development division and looks back on many different stages that have shaped him both professionally and personally.
Together with Jannis, who completed his dual-study degree in Digital Engineering in autumn 2025 with an overall grade of 1.9, he talks about responsibility, change and the long-term opportunities a dual-study programme can provide. Laura from Human Resources accompanied the conversation.
Mogatec has been supporting students as they take their first steps into professional life for many years. Arne was where this journey began. Under his leadership, what started as a small department has grown into a team of 25 colleagues. Responsibilities, structures and requirements have evolved over the years – and he has grown along with them.
“I want to stay with Mogatec from my student days all the way through to retirement and continue building on what we have achieved together over the past few years.”
Today, Jannis is at the beginning of this journey. During his studies, he worked in various departments and gained valuable insights into areas ranging from testing and IT to production planning. The combination of theory and practical experience was intensive and clearly structured. What mattered most to him was the support of people who provided guidance and were always there when needed.

Digital processes play a much greater role in dual-study programmes today than they did in the past. At the same time, reliability, structure and personal commitment remain essential. Jannis is currently continuing his academic journey with a master’s degree and plans to join Mogatec afterwards.
